how it started

'amicus', the latin word for friend or companion.

as a lifelong animal lover, i have always had a passion for pet care and wellness. during my time at university, i was a pet-sitter and dog walker, a job i truly loved! meeting people and their pets, and making connections with them was a privilege. during my time as a pet-sitter, i experienced and used a huge variety of the pet products that are on the market, the good, the bad, and the ugly! it wasn't until my final year at university that i decided to get my first pet of my very own, calcifer, the siberian neva masquerade kitten! whilst looking for products for him, i struggled to find items that were both beautiful and functional... so i decided to make my own! 

furamicus: our vision

starting furamicus, i had two primary goals for the products. i wanted products that enhanced the wellbeing of pets, and enhanced the look and feel of the home, rather than hindering it! furamicus aims to be good for pets, people, and the planet.
